Ibn Sina A.K.A Peak Lenin
Ibn Sina, or Peak Lenin, stands 7,134m above sea level on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan
It is one of the fabled Snow Leopard Mountains, as part of the 5 x 7,000m+ mountains of what was the USSR
Only a handful of Brits have successfully stood at the summit of this powerful mountain
To raise funds to drive conservation efforts, for species such as snow leopards, in July 2024 I will attempt to add my name to the list
The why
We are currently experiencing the 6th Mass Extinction, annihilating species at an unprecedented rate.
David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and Christopher Ward are committed to the protection and preservation of some of the world’s most iconic species, including snow leopards.
It is my goal to simultaneously achieve a childhood ambition of summiting a great peak and galvanise action towards biodiversity conservation.
You hold the key to species survival, all you need to do is act and I will show you how.
“We'll go down in history as the first society that wouldn't save itself because it wasn't cost-effective.”
— Donella H. Meadows
